Welcome to PokéCheck. We value your privacy and are committed to protecting your personal data. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and safeguard your information when you visit our website, search or scan Pokémon cards, and interact with our binder features.

2. Information We Collect

We collect information to provide a better experience to our users. This includes:

• Account Credentials: Email address, name, and hashed passwords when you create an account.
• OAuth Profile Data: Google Profile picture, name, and email if you sign in via Google.
• User Cards Collection: Card IDs, quantities, and dates added to construct your personal binder portfolio.
• Uploaded Photos: Card photos submitted to our camera scanner API. These photos are processed in memory and are never stored on our servers.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use the collected information for the following purposes:

• To manage your binder collection portfolio and calculate valuations.
• To enforce our weekly free usage limits (1 search/scan per week).
• To process payments securely through our merchant of record, Lemon Squeezy.
• To identify cards from uploaded files using AI vision analysis.

4. Data Security & Third Parties

We use industry-standard security measures (SSL, hashing, Firebase rules) to protect your database documents. We do not sell your personal data. Payment details (credit card, PayPal) are processed exclusively by Lemon Squeezy and never touch our servers. Scanning request image files are processed by Anthropic Claude API securely.

5. Your Rights

You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data by contacting us. If you wish to delete your PokéCheck account and collections binder, you can submit a request to our support email.
