Prices are aggregated directly from the public APIs/data feeds of Cardmarket (for the European market) and TCGPlayer (for the US market). We update our cache daily to ensure you have near real-time pricing data.
When you scan a card, your browser converts the photo into a perceptual hash (a mathematical representation of the image). This hash is sent to our server and compared against our database of 23,000+ cards using the Hamming distance algorithm to find the closest visual match.
The free plan limits you to a few price checks. The Pro plan gives you unlimited access to live prices, unlimited camera scans, access to the full Top 150 Market Leaderboard, and the ability to track your personal collection portfolio indefinitely.
Billing is handled entirely through Gumroad. When you subscribe, you receive a license key via email. You paste that key into your PokéCheck account to unlock Pro features. If you cancel your subscription on Gumroad, your Pro access will simply expire at the end of your billing cycle.
